Selection & Investment Criteria
The final investment decision will be made based on the following four main criteria (in order of priority):
Entrepreneur & Team: Do you and your team have what it takes to build a business? We consider a variety of factors, including background of founders, team cohesion, strength of middle management or mental flexibility.
Business Model & Traction: Have you been able to show that your business model works? We need to have a decent level of confidence in the product and the market as well as your ability to execute on your vision. Once we invest, you will get access to all our resources to further scale your business and solution.
Social or Environmental Impact: Does your business have a significant and measurable impact on society and/or the environment? This may include creating better-paying jobs at better working conditions, reducing CO2 emissions, providing products for poor or less accessible households or giving access to income opportunities for marginalised groups.
Innovation and capacity to transform the market: Is your business innovative or does it have the potential to be a role model for others in the same sector? We are building businesses that change the way people think about a specific industry or country. So that is why we are looking for exceptional teams and exceptional business models.
